in God we trust

mares, a haitian pastor that we work with, started an english program a few years ago. the problem is he doesn't speak much english and neither do the other guys that teach. sometimes we find funny things written on the board after one of their classes, but sometimes it's good stuff. one day on the top of the black board it said: today is wednesday. in God we trust.

in the midst of all this craziness - trying to get two abandoned babies adopted, no water running to the house, staff leaving, new people coming - it's so good to know that God is our rock. I am memorizing these verses:

I Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
